We were so lucky to have a group of bloggers from the Casual Blogger Network stop by our vintage toy/candy store this past weekend to join us for a fun day at the Shops at Riverwoods!

There was lots of toys, candy, games enjoyed by all :)

We were lucky enough to have Bryce Olsen come take pictures as well for the event! Go check out his site. We LOVE having people come check out the store. We are lucky enough to be able to experience the magic of the store every day, but when we see people experience the store for the first time, it warms our hearts :)

Big thanks to everyone from the Casual Blogger Network for coming out and enjoying the store with us over the weekend!

  • NieNie visits Blickenstaff's

We had the opportunity to have an inspirational individual stop by the store over the weekend!
    Stephanie Nielson!

Stephanie runs the incredibly popular blog, the NieNie Dialogues! Check it out! She is a great writer and is a truly inspirational figure. She has overcome so much and is such a happy person! Stephanie brought her family by Blickenstaff's over the weekend. It's always fun seeing the faces of people who are visiting the store for the first time. SO many smiles!

Huge thanks to the Nielson family for stopping by! We look forward to having you back again soon! Don't forget to check out the NieNie Dialogues!

  • Jimmer Fredette!

I've got one word for you: Jimmer.

In case you've been living in a cave for the past year, Jimmer Fredette took the NCAA by storm collecting practically every award possible, including the prestigious Naismith Award.

Jimmer stopped by Blickenstaff's today to check out the store and pick up a few things for some friends and family. Fredette is on a strict no sugar diet (he's no candy man like Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers) but he did find lots of great candy for some of his family! He picked up some Mallo Cups for his sister and reminisced about buying candy as a kid from the local drug store back home. We had almost everything he remembered buying as a kid!

There is a lot of speculation about the future of this prolific athlete. The NBA combine is coming up and the draft is not far off - so, where does he want to go? Jazz fans rejoice, he said he would love to stick around here. He also mentioned both New York and Phoenix as potential future homes.

We sure hope he ends up with the Jazz! Fredette is a class act and would continue to be a fantastic role model here in the community!

He even hopped behind the counter for a few pics :)

Jimmer, good luck at the combine and with the draft - hopefully we'll be seeing you in a #32  Jazz uniform next season! Thanks for coming in!
