Happy Halloween! The day is finally here! We love Halloween because it's all about candy, costumes, and fun for everyone! At Blickenstaff's, we started celebrating a little early...last Saturday the Shops at Riverwoods had a trick-or-treat around the mall, and in the store we had a Candy Walk where we handed out giant gummy bears as prizes.

In our Book Nook we created a Soda Pop Ring-Toss! If you got a ring around one of our yummy vintage sodas, it was yours to keep! We loved seeing all the creative costumes and it was so fun to have such a big crowd in the store!

We hope tonight brings more fun at Blickenstaff's and all around town! Have a happy and a safe Halloween!

Stop by the Shops at Riverwoods on Saturday October 29 from 4:30-6:30 for the annual Riverwoods Monster Mash. Make sure to dress up in your Halloween costume and bring your friends and family down to the shops! Our favorite toy store, There will also be trick-or-treating throughout the shops!! Radio Disney will be here dancing and hosting this great event!!

Or when you played eight rounds of Battleship in a row, just so you could beat your brother once? Some of the best memories are made playing games, but sometimes it feels like all those memories are in the past, never to be recreated.

At Blickenstaff's, we would like to challenge that feeling. We are firm believers that there's nothing like taking a break from your busy schedule to play. That's why we're starting Game Nights at Blickenstaff's! Every Monday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, we will be hosting an evening of playing games, having fun and making memories.

Here's how it works:

You can call in to reserve a spot for your group, either from 6:30-7:30 or from 7:30-8:30. During that time, a member of our staff will teach you how to play one of our many, many games! You will have the hour to play and enjoy the game. And since we know there's nothing like a little candy to make a night extra fun, you get a 50% off any of our delicious bulk candy!

Every Monday night, the name of the game is FUN FOR EVERYONE!

We love all of our neighbors here at the Shops at Riverwoods. We've had some great clothing stores, tasty restaurants and an awesome family entertainment center open over the past year.

And now.... (drumroll please) we are THRILLED to announce that our newest neighbor will be "Ike's Ice Cream Parlor". The ONLY place in Utah that will 16 glorious flavors of the greatest ice cream ever- Blue Bell Ice Cream!

We got to test out the homemade vanilla last week when the first shipment came in and it was divine. Literally the greatest vanilla ice cream we have experienced.

The ice cream will be made available to everyone on October 3! We are co-hosting the opening of Ike's Ice Cream and are so excited! Come by at 7 pm next Monday and the first 50 people get a free scoop of ice cream. Plus there are going to be some sweeeeeet giveaways!
